Faith, Stress & Emotional Regulation

Work, caregiving, relationships and expectations can leave little room to notice how we are feeling. This workshop invites participants to explore emotional wellbeing in language that respects their values and lived experiences.
Being Muslim does not mean sharing one culture, interpretation of faith or experience. The session makes room for these differences.
What we will explore
Notice the pressure
Understand the response
Practise a pause
Connect with support
Recognise how stress can appear in the body, thoughts, mood and relationships.
Explore withdrawal, irritability and emotional overload without reducing people to labels.
Try optional grounding, reflection and communication exercises that can support a more considered response.
Discuss barriers to asking for help and how personal, community and professional supports can complement one another.
Learning without pressure to disclose
Respectful of faith. Clear about boundaries.
Expect relatable examples, guided reflection, optional exercises and time for general questions. Participants may listen without speaking and can decline any exercise. Personal experiences do not need to be shared.
Faith is explored as a source of meaning and personal context, not as a measure of mental health or a replacement for care. The workshop does not provide religious rulings, individual assessment, diagnosis or psychotherapy.
